The Montblanc Meisterstück Naruto Special Edition LeGrand 129311 is a new old stock piece. It has never been inked or written with. It may show minor handling marks from storage and display but presents in mint condition throughout and is indistinguishable from new in normal use.
The barrel is black precious resin engraved with a Naruto cloud pattern throughout. The cap is black precious resin featuring fine engravings with an orange lacquer pattern representing Naruto in his iconic pose - the most visually distinctive element of this edition. The clip is finished in a new orange hue, a direct departure from the platinum and gold trim of standard Meisterstück production, and carries an individual serial number. The fittings are rhodium plated throughout. The Montblanc white star sits at the crown of the cap. No issues to report on barrel, cap, engravings, orange lacquer, clip, or fittings.
The nib is a handcrafted 14k gold nib with ruthenium plating, engraved with the Hidden Leaf Village symbol from Naruto. The pen fills via piston mechanism and has not been inked. It writes as new and accepts bottled ink only, not cartridges or converters.
This edition was released in 2022 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Naruto manga series. It represents one of the most unexpected and culturally significant collaborations in Montblanc's history - the meeting of a century-old German writing instrument brand and one of the most globally recognised manga and anime franchises ever produced.
