Meisterstück
There are writing instruments, and then there is the Meisterstück. Since its introduction in 1924, Montblanc's Meisterstück, German for masterpiece, has defined what a luxury pen can be. It has rested in the pockets of heads of state, signed documents that changed history, and accompanied writers whose work has outlasted the century they lived in.
The Meisterstück's design has remained essentially unchanged for over a hundred years. The deep black precious resin barrel, the platinum or gold-plated fittings, the signature white star at the crown, and the hand-finished gold nib that writes with a character unique to each pen. These are not design choices made lightly. They are conclusions reached over decades.
