Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue Black and White Fountain Pen - 101404
The Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Doué Black and White Classique 101404 is a new old stock piece. It has never been inked or written with. It may show minor handling marks from storage and display over the years but presents in excellent condition throughout and is indistinguishable from new in normal use.
The barrel is black precious resin. The cap is high-grade stainless steel with a PVD coating, laser-engraved with a geometric pattern that creates the Black and White contrast effect the Doué series is known for. The platinum-plated clip carries an individual serial number engraved in the clip ring. The stainless steel rings at the barrel and cone are polished and show no wear. The Montblanc white star is inlaid into the cap top in black and white precious resin, a design detail specific to this series that differs from the standard floating emblem found on the StarWalker range. No issues to report on barrel, cap, clip, fittings, or engraving.
The nib is a handcrafted 18k gold nib with rhodium-plated inlay. The pen has not been inked and writes as new. It fills via cartridge or converter. A converter is not included but is compatible with all standard Montblanc cartridge converters.
This is a discontinued reference. The 101404 is listed as sold out worldwide, making this new old stock example a genuine find for a collector or buyer seeking a piece that can no longer be purchased through any authorised retailer.
