The Montblanc Muses Line Marlene Dietrich Special Edition 101400 is a new old stock piece. It has never been inked or written with. It may show minor handling marks from storage and display over the years but presents in excellent condition throughout and is indistinguishable from new in normal use.

The barrel and cap are black precious resin with a distinctive shape that transitions from oval at the ends to circular in the middle - a unique silhouette in the Montblanc catalogue that references Marlene Dietrich's hourglass elegance. The cap top and barrel end are each enriched with a mother of pearl inlay. The Marlene Dietrich signature is engraved on the cap. The clip is platinum plated and formed in the shape of a necktie, a direct reference to Dietrich's iconic androgynous tailored style, and is set with a deep blue sapphire at the cap ring. The platinum plated rings carry the Montblanc brand name. This edition is a limited special edition released in 2007 and is sold out worldwide. No issues to report on barrel, cap, mother of pearl inlays, clip, sapphire setting, or fittings.

The nib is a handcrafted 18k gold nib, rhodium plated, with a distinctive heart shaped hole — a design detail specific to this edition that references Dietrich's romantic legacy. The pen fills via cartridge and is also compatible with a Montblanc converter for bottled ink use. It has not been inked and writes as new.

This pen comes complete with its original Montblanc box and papers.
